book7 lesson 9

TEXT 9: DIRECTION
Direction
Direction is something we need in order to scape procrastination and become motivated to do what we need or want to do.
Procrastination is finding ways to delay doing tasks that we need to do. We may procrastinate when the task is something we are not yet convinced is necessary or important. If the task is part of our job or schoolwork, it is important. The only way to stay on track is by finding the motivation to get it done.
• Start by listing the advantages of doing the task.
• List of the disadvantages and consequences of neglecting it.
• Be specific and objective.
• Set time limits.
• Plan the tasks in advance.
• Visualize doing the task.

• Concentrate.
There’s a proverb that says: “No matter how far you have walked in the wrong direction, you will eventually have to turn back and take the right direction.
Direction determines destination. So visualize yourself in the place you want to be, going in the direction you want to go.
If you can’t define your destination precisely, how will you know when you have arrived?
